Proviron is a strong androgen which does not aromatize into estrogen. Altough this steroid is strongly androgenic, the anabolic effect of it is considered too weak for muscle building purposes. Among athletes Proviron is primarily used as an antiestrogen. It is believed to act an an antiaromatize in the body, preventing or slowing the conversion of steroids into estrogen. The result is somewhat comparable to Arimidex. Most athletes actually prefer to use both Proviron and Tamoxifen, especially during strongly estrogenic cycles. Many BB also favor this drug during contest preperation, when a lower estrogen/high androgen level is particularly sought after. Many women even find a single 25mg capsule to efficiently shift the hormone balance in the body. Women should not exceed 25mg/day for 4-5 weeks. The typical dosage for men is 1 to 4 25mg caps a day. This is a sufficent amount to prevent gynecomastia, the drug often used throughout the duration of a strong cycle.
